A wonderful opportunity for young string players

The Nebraska Chamber Players are excited to announce that they are the hosts for the 2012 Larsen Young Artist Award. The Larsen Young Artist Award offers a wonderful opportunity for young string players across the state to receive recognition for their talent through the competition itself and the opportunity to play with the Nebraska Chamber Players during their concert season.

There will be two recipients of the Larsen Young Artist Award. The winner will be awarded $1,000 plus the opportunity to play with the Nebraska Chamber Players; the second award winner will receive $500 and a performing opportunity. The competition is open to all string students in grades 9-12 who are residents of Nebraska.

The deadline for applications is February 6, 2012. There is no preliminary requirement. The competition date is March 17, 2012, at First Plymouth Congregational Church in Lincoln, Nebraska.
